The 25th International Specialised Symposium on Yeasts, ISSY25, with a
special focus on "Yeast systems biology - from models to applications" was
held in 2006 in Finland at Hanasaari conference centre close to Helsinki.
The ISSY symposia are organised yearly by the members of the International
Commission on Yeasts (ICY), an IUMS organisation.
The ISSY25 meeting in Finland attracted the full number of participants,
240, from 29 different countries. The scientific level of the meeting was
very high. A special issue of the journal FEMS Yeast Research will be
dedicated to ISSY25 contributions (please, see panel on left).
